The U.S. recently launched an airstrike against an oil refinery in Syria. The U.S. launched this airstrike because that oils refiner make $2 million per day profiting ISIS. There were at least 14 missionaries and civilians killed during the airstrike. I think that it is a good thing that we launched this airstrike because we finally did something to try and stop ISIS. Before we were supporting them by buying oil reform them. We were basically giving them money to buy weapons. If we don't do anything to stop ISIS, they will continue to terrorize the middle East. When and if they gain power, we could have a third world war on our hands. ISIS is a very violent group that is a threat to everyone and I don't think they will hesitate to take over other countries. I think that the U.S. should try to get other countries in the middle East to provide troops to defeat ISIS and offer up troops of our own. I know that sending troops into Syria is basically saying that we are at war with ISIS too, but one day ISIS might come after the U.S. and I would not like to wait and see what that something is. So far, there have been over 5,500 deaths caused by ISIS, only from Iraq. Over 1.2 million people are homeless. I can't understand why a group of people would even want to be that violent and kill that many people. This is an example of a consequence of how people organize themselves. These people were motivated to kill by their leader and they all believe the same thing, that they are all doing this for all of the Muslim people. That they are cleansing the world of all the people who don't believe in their religion and that they do not belong there. This is a lot like Hitler and his belief that Germans were the superior race.
